At Connolly & McNamara, we believe that our firm and our clients profit from training future CAs as much as our students benefit from our knowledge and experience.
We were one of the first firms in Ontario to receive the new Chartered Accountant Training Office (CATO) designation. Becoming a CATO office wasn’t easy. We had to demonstrate our ability to provide students with the training and support they need to receive the designations and qualifications required to become a CA. In a rigorous selection process, we were evaluated by our peers based on our ability to provide a high level of training that included:
The program benefits our firm and our clients by providing us with high quality people who work with us for several years. CAs receive the highest level of training for those in the accounting profession and this talented pool of young people would not be accessible to us if we were not a CATO office.
We recently received some very good news, our student Elizabeth passed her Uniform Evaluation Exam (UFE). All Canadian trained CAs must write the UFE, which demonstrates proficiency in the competencies required to begin a career as a professional accountant. The UFE sets a single, high standard that is recognized nationally and internationally. We are thrilled with Elizabeth’s significant achievement and proud to have been able to contribute to her success.
